Of course you do…that’s why you’re reading this article. Zoom now allows let's you turn yourself into an avatar that can track all of your facial movements, how cool is that?! So without further ado, let’s show you how you can join your next Zoom meeting as a fox, a panda, or even the Easter Bunny!

Step 1: Click on the up arrow located next to the video camera icon in your control panel, and then select ”Choose Video Filter…”

Step 2: Select the “Avatars” option, and pick your favorite animal!

Step 3: Say cheese! Your avatar will read all of your facial expressions - blinks, eyebrow raises, smiles, even sticking out your tongue - so you’ve been warned. Don’t get caught making funny faces at yourself like I did!

Tech Requirements

To enable Avatars, you’ll need to:

  • Make sure your Zoom desktop client or mobile app is running on version 5.10.0 or higher.
  • Check that the feature is enabled by an account owner or admin.
  • Make sure your computer meets these minimum requirements.
